Goal
In addition to conventional powdercoating (see “powdercoating”), ALRO is one of the few companies in the world capable of applying a high-gloss black acrylic powder with the highest level of quality.
The majority of applications can be found in the automotive industry in which more expensive cars require the very best high-gloss black finish, especially for the metal frames around the sidewindows.
Applications
Types of metal: iron, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminium, zamac (zinc, aluminium, magnesium, copper), etc.
Products: window frames, A, B, C pillars, roof rails, etc.
Method

Powdercoating is achieved using automatic machines and spray guns to apply powder paint to the product electrostatically. This is done in large spray chambers into which specific support tools bring the products on a transport system. This then involves several process stages:
Pre-treatment: power wash in a spray tunnel
Drying and cooling down
Electrostatic application of the acrylic powdercoating using automatic spraying pistols
Baking on the powder layer in an oven
Cooling off
Quality control
Packing
The powder used has an acrylic basis and provides a very deep gloss, very smooth structure, high scratch resistance and very great durability.
