When the metal or plastic products arrive at ALRO, they usually cannot be coated immediately.

Since the products have undergone several processes already, they always have uncleaned areas.
Furthermore, metal products are usually covered with a greasy protection layer to prevent corrosion between their manufacture and the application of the final protective coatings.

Before the products are coated, at ALRO they will always undergo several PRE-TREATMENT processes:
- Degreasing / Cleaning
- Activating / Phosphating / Passivation of metals
- Rinsing with demineralised water
- Drying
- Flame treatment of plastics (activation to obtain bonding with the coating)
- Deionisation of plastics (discharging static electricity)

These pre-treatments are always integrated into the production lines at ALRO. They are usually performed automatically in spraying and dipping processes using robots or other automatic equipment.
